Quote data stays in this browser

Business and client details, line items, notes, rates and revisions are processed on your device and saved in this site’s IndexedDB storage. The app does not upload them, use analytics, call a model or request external fonts. Downloads are created locally.

The hosting provider receives ordinary requests needed to load the website, which can include IP address and browser information. This is not a promise of anonymous hosting or a no-logs service.

Who can access saved drafts

The browser profile is the access boundary. Someone using the same profile can open its saved quotes. There is no account login, cloud sync or app-managed encryption. Private browsing, storage limits and clearing site data can remove drafts.

The theme preference is stored in localStorage. Quote details are not placed in page URLs, search metadata or the public sitemap.

Backup and recovery

Use “Export backup” to download the whole workspace before switching devices or clearing browser data. A quote JSON contains one quote; a workspace backup also contains all drafts, revisions and rates. PDF, CSV and comparison downloads can also contain client information. Keep all exports private and share only the intended document.

My quotes → Restore workspace replaces the workspace only after confirmation. If saving fails, an “Export current backup” action preserves the in-memory edits. Multiple tabs cannot silently overwrite a newer saved revision; the app asks you to export or reload.

Delete your local information

Open My quotes and remove a draft to delete it and its snapshots from the workspace. Open the rate book to remove reusable rates. To erase the entire saved workspace and theme, clear site data for quote-studio.vercel.app in your browser settings. Close other open Quote Studio tabs first. A new empty workspace is created the next time you open the editor.

Downloaded files are separate copies and must be removed from your downloads, backups or shared locations separately. The preview has no cloud copy to recover after local deletion.

Future account features

Accounts, Google sign-in, cloud storage, customer sharing and purchases are not enabled. Their data handling and retention policies must be published before those services are released.

Private cost worksheets

Unit costs, overhead, contingency and target margins stay in the device workspace. Full workspace backups, duplicated drafts and saved revisions include them. Customer quote JSON, CSV, revision-comparison text and printable quotes exclude them. A workspace backup is an unencrypted internal file; do not send it to a customer. Someone using this browser profile can also open the worksheet.
