Use your expected cost per quoted unit, including any nonrecoverable purchase costs. A blank is unknown; enter 0 for a deliberate zero cost. This estimate uses your inputs, without market or tax advice.

Profit = discounted revenue − costs − overhead − contingency reserve. Customer tax and proposed deposits are excluded. Margin is profit ÷ revenue, not markup. Target revenue rounds up to the next cent and does not change your prices; a quote discount must be allowed for separately. Save a revision from the editor to keep a cost snapshot.

Rates and inputs

Add your business, client and line items. Enter one exclusive tax rate, a percentage discount and an optional proposed deposit. No location-based taxes, inclusive taxes, multiple tax rates, inventory or invoice collection are calculated.

Calculations

Each quantity × unit price is rounded half-up to cents. A single rounded quote discount is allocated to line items proportionally, with leftover cents assigned by largest remainder in line order. Tax is rounded once on the sum of discounted taxable items. Deposit is rounded from the final total; it does not reduce that total.

Saving and exports

Draft edits, including incomplete fields, save automatically in this browser’s IndexedDB. Save a revision to preserve a completed set of numbers. Export a quote JSON to continue editing elsewhere, a CSV for line totals, or use your browser’s print dialog to save a PDF. CSV text that may be interpreted as a formula receives a leading apostrophe.

Privacy and storage

No quote data is uploaded, and there are no analytics, external fonts or model calls. The hosting provider receives ordinary page requests. This browser profile is the access boundary: anyone using it can open the saved quotes. Clearing site data removes them. Export a workspace backup regularly; exported files contain your business and client details.

Preview limits

20 drafts, 10 snapshots per draft, 100 items per quote and 100 reusable rates. Supported currencies have two decimal places; changing the currency label does not convert prices. Unit prices can be up to 999,999.99 and quantities up to 999,999.999. Maximum quote total is 9,999,999,999.99. Quote import is limited to 1 MB; workspace restore to 12 MB.

This free local preview does not offer cloud accounts, customer acceptance, signatures, subscriptions, payments or an API. Those workflows need separate server-side implementation and verification before a paid launch.
